Grower Notes:

Acer palmatum 'Koto-no-ito' is commonly referred to as Koto-no-ito Japanese Maple. It is a slow-growing, semi-dwarf, deciduous shrub or small tree with leaves that emerge a crimson hue, but quickly turn bright green during the growing season. In fall the foliage turns a showy orange and red.

Koto-no-ito Japanese Maple is low maintenance and needs little pruning. It thrives in full sun to part shade in rich, fertile, slightly acidic, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It is an outstanding specimen that will give an exotic feel to your garden.
